Contemporary territories are unstable, subject to fast conversion processes, and complex in the decision, design, management and transformation areas. In this context, a very useful aid is provided by Multicriteria Analysis methods, which are used to make a comparative assessment of alternative projects or heterogeneous measures.

Specific analysis of the technical, territorial, economic, financial and administrative-management of real estate operations are essential to guarantee future profitability. It is necessary to build valuation models that allow for the identification and the quantification of critical parameters, the processing of the information and the interpretation of the results.

Considering the scarcity of resources and the irreversibility of environmental transformations, the basic approach for evaluating territorial scenarios refers to the concept of environmental resilience.

  • Spatial Multicriteria Analysis (MC-SDSS)
  • Spatial Econometric Model (SEM)
  • Agent-Based Model (ABM/MAS)
  • System Dynamics Model
  • Lotka Volterra Model

The increase in population, the urbanization processes and the heavy anthropic interventions are bringing new differentiated stresses for environmental and urban systems, including socio-economic pressures and natural disasters.
